Renault have announced that a sporty new Twingo model will join the UK range later this year.
The Renault Twingo GT, a 110bhp version of the popular rear-wheel-drive city car, will make its world premiere at the Goodwood Festival of Speed later this month.
A revised air intake system and modified engine mapping has enabled the French manufacturer to eke even more horsepower from its 898cc Energy TCe turbo engine, with the Twingo GT’s chassis and suspension upgraded to handle the added grunt.
Visual enhancements include 17-inch alloy wheels, lateral air intakes, twin exhaust tail pipe and a new orange paint finish. Other colour options include Lunar Grey, Diamond Black and Crystal White, along with orange trim details in the cabin, Renault Sport-badged doorsills, aluminium pedals and an alloy gearknob.
