Land Rover have announced that the Range Rover Velar will now be available with a powerful new 300bhp Ingenium petrol engine.

Labelled the P300, the Wolverhampton-built power plant is the latest addition to Jaguar Land Rover’s Ingenium range of engines, and was recently launched in Jaguar’s XE, XF, and F-PACE models. Its twin scroll turbocharger has ceramic ball bearings to reduce friction as well as a high flow compressor wheel giving 26% more air for enhanced performance.

With the 2.0-litre four-cylinder engine under its bonnet the Range Rover Velar can accelerate from 0-60mph in just 5.7 seconds.

The Range Rover Velar with the new Ingenium P300 engine is available to order now at Land Rover retailers.
