Mercedes used the half time of the Super Bowl to show off a number of new models. The £62,000 a second advert introduced the SLS AMG Roadster, C-Class Coupé, CLS 63 AMG and the new SLK.

The SLS Roadster is based on the gullwing SLS but does not have the iconic doors. It is fitted with a powerful 6.2-litre V8 and twin-clutch gearbox and a canvas roof has been fitted.

The new C Class Coupe has similar styling to the rest of the C Class range. It comes with LED lights and has a new two door layout as well as a curvier bumper. This new model has an improved sloping roof adding to the overall appearance.

Mercedes is expected to use the Geneva Motor Show in March as an opportunity to officially launch the new SLK, CLS 63 AMG and the C Class Coupe. The SLS will have to wait until the later Frankfurt Motor Show.
