McLaren will unveil its stunning new design concept, the road legal McLaren P1 GTR, at next month’s Concours d’Elegance at Pebble Beach Lodge.

The manufacturer says the GTR version has been developed in response to pressure from McLaren P1 owners for a track focused version of the car.  The company will begin production of the McLaren P1 GTR in June next year when it stops making the standard the standard P1.  The new model will only be available for purchase by current McLaren P1 owners, and will come with a comprehensive package including driving events, and support programme including resources used to develop and train McLaren Formula One drivers.
The covers will come off the McLaren P1 GTR at 1800 EST on Friday 15 August at the McLaren Brand Centre on Pebble Beach Lodge’s 18th Fairway, before going on public display on the Pebble Beach Concept Lawn for the duration of the weekend.
