The Performance Vauxhall Show takes place on Sunday 12 June at Santa Pod, and ahead of the event a poll has been conducted to crown the nation’s favourite fast Vauxhall.

Topping the charts is the iconic Lotus Carlton, the 3.6-litre turbocharged beast that enraged the Daily Mail when it was launched in 1990. The newspaper labelled the 177mph Lotus Carlton a potential killer and called for it to be banned, with the matter even discussed in parliament. That hasn’t stopped it receiving over a third of the total votes in the Performance Vauxhall Show poll, beating off competition from the Calibra and the Astra VXR.

Other attractions at the show will be a display to commemorate the Vauxhall Cavalier Turbo’s silver jubilee, Vauxhall-only ‘Run What Ya Brung’ drag sprints, a retail village for parts, mods, and memorabilia, camping, and live entertainment from DJ Pied Piper and MC DT.

Entry on the gate is £23, but some discounted Early Bird tickets are still available at www.performancevauxhallshow.co.uk.
