Honda has confirmed specification details for their new-look Jazz supermini, which will debut at the 2017 Frankfurt Motor Show, will include.

Updates to the styling and interior head the changes, while a 128bhp 1.5-litre i-VTEC petrol engine will also be available.

The Jazz will be given Honda’s latest ‘Solid Wing Face’ signature headlight and grille treatment, with a sharply sculpted front bumper and contoured air vent surrounds. To the rear are shallower grille sections, linked by a gloss black trim strip. Metallic Skyride Blue joins the list of colour options.

The new engine is Euro 6 emissions compliant, and offers fuel economy of 52.3 mpg with CO2 emissions as low as 124 g/km. It can be chosen with a CVT automatic transmission, which has been revised to give a more refined response under acceleration. The engine is offered as part of a new trim level – Dynamic – which adds a thinner front splitter beneath the lower grille, and triple-strake diffuser to the rear bumper, LED headlights, front fog lamps, side sill skirts, a tailgate spoiler and gloss-black 185/55 R16 alloy wheels. The Dynamic interior features a unique pinstripe pattern on the upholstery and a leather-wrapped steering wheel and gear knob with contrasting orange stitching.

The redesign results in a boot capacity of 354 litres, up to 897 litres with the rear seats folded down, and increased passenger space. A 60:40-split Magic Seat system allows for numerous cargo configurations, with a maximum interior loading length of 2,480 mm and maximum loading height of 1,280 mm.

Standard equipment across the new Jazz line up includes cruise control, automatic headlights and City-Brake Active safety system, while higher grades feature a 7-inch Honda Connect infotainment system, rear-view parking camera, keyless entry and start, as well as advanced safety technologies such as Forward Collision Warning, Lane Departure Warning and Traffic Sign Recognition.

Order books open from November, with deliveries starting in early 2018.
