The first examples of Honda’s zero emissions Clarity Fuel Cell model have landed in Europe.

Six demonstration vehicles arrived from Japan this week bound for customers in London and Copenhagen, hoping to pave the way for its introduction across other European markets as Honda work towards their recently-announced goal of making electrified powertrains account for two-thirds of their global sales by 2030.

The Clarity Fuel Cell is Honda’s most advanced zero emissions vehicle to date, the first to house the entire stack underneath the bonnet in order to make the cabin spacious enough to carry five occupants in comfort, and in a recent US Environment Protection Agency test it achieved a new record effective range for a production zero emissions vehicle of 366 miles.
