Dacia have announced they will be giving the ‘Black Friday’ madness a wide berth.

There will be no ‘special’ deals or ‘one-day-only’ offers at Dacia this Friday after the manufacturer revealed two-thirds of UK adults think the whole ‘Black Friday’ phenomenon is a shameless marketing gimmick.

“At Dacia, Black Friday is just Friday”, said the company’s UK chief Louise O’Sullivan. “Our award-winning new cars start from just £5,995 offering great value every day of the year.”

Dacia commissioned pollsters OnePoll to conduct a survey of UK adults, finding that while a third of Brits may be rushing online and into stores across this Friday in the frantic pursuit of a bargain, twice as many will give the whole thing a miss.  A huge 73% of responders admitted they are suspicious of companies that offer continual sales and offers, a sentiment supported by the discovery that two in five Brits feel they have been burned by a supposed bargain.

Louise O’Sullivan again, “With Black Friday upon us once again, many will be rushing to find a bargain. But for the majority of us who won’t be, it is intriguing to see that despite our love of deals and self-identification as savvy shoppers, constant deals or offers that seem too good to be true actually make us wary. It’s interesting to see that the British public just want good value, and that they will repay this with loyalty, rather than supposedly good one-off discounts.”
