The Kia Sportage has been named as the Best 4x4 and picked up the Car of the Year award from CarBuyer in the website’s inaugural awards.
The Car of the Year award was presented by the Editor of carbuyer.co.uk, Dan Strong, to Kia’s stand at the Geneva Motor Show. It was collected by Kia Motors Europe's Chief Operating Officer, Paul Philpott, and Kia Motors (UK) Limited Managing Director, Michael Cole.
CarBuyer heaped praise on the model and went on to say that it won "not just because it blends the best in on and off-road performance, and is loaded with kit. It also shows that Kia's engineers and designers are capable of building a world beating car. With its seven year warranty, good looks and capable diesel engine range it's a vehicle you can choose with your head, and your heart."
