April 1st saw some incredible announcements in the car industry.

Lexus' life changing tech that allows you to move lane-hoggers out of your way, Hyundai's drone car delivery service, a feathered McLaren, and BMW's new dog car were amongst them.

BMW Dog Car

“The thrill of the drive isn’t just for drivers. Introducing BMW dDrive. The exhilaration of the open road in a dog-friendly environment.”

Hyundai Drone Delivery

“The future of car delivery has reached new heights with Click To Fly - the world's first drone car delivery service.”

McLaren 570GT Feather Wrap Edition

"It draws inspiration from nature, using biomimicry to create our most aerodynamic car ever. 10,000 carbon-veined feathers were applied by hand in a process that took more than 300 hours."

Lexus Lane Valet

“Lane Valet is a breakthrough innovation that every driver will appreciate. A visionary semiautonomous passing-lane-assistance technology, it promises to bring us one step closer to a day when vehicles don’t just react to the world around them, they improve it. Making highways safer, vehicles more efficient, and even other drivers – better.”

The drone delivery service, the feather wrap, and the lane valet tech may well be a little far fetched, but we've certainly seen stranger things for sale than the BMW dog bed. In this Instagram age of the rich and famous, we reckon BMW could be on to something with that one!
