Toyota has refreshed the specifications of its Auris range of cars.
As part of the changes to the range, the Auris T2 has been replaced as the entry level model with the new Auris Edition, but the starting price remains at £15,225.
The Auris Edition still has the standard features found in the T2, with air conditioning and a four-speaker sound system with USB port, but the new model has extra standard features such as 16-inch alloy wheels, heated and retractable colour-coded door mirrors, and colour-coded door handles.
Island Blue is a new metallic paint option on the Auris Edition, and Vehicle Stability Control and Traction Control can also be added.
The Auris Edition is available in both 3-door and 5-door models, and is powered by a 1.3-litre VVTi petrol engine that returns a combined 48.7mpg, and CO2 emissions of 135g/km.
Toyota have also made additions to the equipment levels on other models in the Auris range. The mid-range Auris TR now comes with rear parking sensors, and Bluetooth with voice control. On the 1.6-lite Auris TR Valvematic there is also cruise control as a new standard feature. There are all fresh additions to the standard equipment on the Auris TR, with features including climate control, six-speaker audio with USB, electric windows and front fog lamps having already been part of the package.
The Auris TR also gets a sporty new interior of dark grey with silver detailing, with analogue dials on the 1.4 and 1.6-litre TR models. Externally, the Auris TR now has new five spoke 16-inch alloys, and a new paint colour option of metallic Deep Titanium.
The Deep Titanium metallic paint option is also added to the top-of-the-range Auris SR, which comes as a 5-door hatchback with a 1.6-litre Valvematic engine. The Auris SR already featured 17-inch alloy wheels, rear spoiler, dark-tinted rear privacy glass and darkened headlamp lenses as standard, but with Toyota's improvements to the equipment list for the range, this model now adds cruise control and Bluetooth to its list of standard features.
The Toyota Auris range with its updated specifications will be on sale from 1st May.
