Renault are celebrating after the all-electric ZOE reached the 50,000 production milestone.

A total of 18,500 Renault ZOE’s were sold in 2015, giving the model a 55% market share in its domestic French market and 20% across Europe.  Since its UK launch 4,058 ZOE’s have found UK homes, with 2015 sales up by a remarkable 102%.

The award-winning model has given Renault a strong foothold in the all-electric vehicle market, a growing sector which has benefitted from a growing infrastructure that now boasts over 60,000 public charging points across Europe.  Renault is a market leader in the electric vehicle market, and since 2013 it has offered a three-strong all-electric range with the Twizy and Kangoo Z.E. models in addition to the ZOE.
