Greene jumps the fence to Carsite
e-Remarketing specialists, Carsite.co.uk, has appointed Paul Greene as business operations manager. He joins from Godfrey Davies Contract Hire/Bank of Scotland Vehicle Finance where, for 12-years, he was re-marketing manager.
“I have worked closely on the other side of the fence with Carsite, for many years, so I know the advantages of having multi-priced e-remarketing routes that maximise retail exposure,” said Greene. “With Carsite’s expertise in developing leading edge technology and the company’s focus on providing excellent customer service, I knew that I could point staff, customers and affinity groups to our Carsite white label affinity website with complete confidence. In addition to higher residual returns, the hundreds of satisfied buyer testimonials, some at director level, justified my confidence in our e-commerce partnership with carsite.co.uk”
Asked why ‘he jumped the fence’ to work for Carsite, Greene states: “Carsite is unique within the industry. Having worked in partnership with them whilst at the Bank of Scotland, I knew that they actually do what they say they will! I felt that Carsite’s newly launched cascade service could bring additional benefits to lease companies, big and small, and I wanted to participate in seeing others, (as I did), get excited about making a difference to the success of re-marketing.”
Carsite.co.uk has the ability to market ‘in life’ vehicles through it’s driver sales programme as well as cascading these to staff, affinity groups and to the wider public before end of lease. The newly launched ‘Postview’ system gives vendors the ability to offer retail buyers vehicles that remain unsold at transport, de-fleet and auction locations, without incurring extra movement charges.
Carsite is the first and current holder of the eBay Motors Seller of the year award.
New aid shortens re-marketing time
LEASING companies are being helped to re-market their end-of-lease vehicles whilst they are still with their current drivers.
‘Preview’ is a new, pre-end of lease e-route, developed by Carsite.co.uk It has been designed to help lease companies maximise early exposure of end-of-lease vehicles when they are not being purchased by the current driver.
“The purchaser of our first car sold through Preview, reserved the car 4-weeks before it actually came off its lease,” said Carsite's handover centre manager, Nick Bolton. “We managed the de-fleet of the vehicle, as well as an RAC inspection (for duty of care), so that our lease company client suffered only one stocking day. The car also achieved 123% of CAP on the sale value.”
A total of 21 interior and exterior photos were shared with the purchaser who collected the car the day after it came off lease.
“We are now able to let buyers see what vehicles are shortly to come off lease so they can be reserved,” said Bolton. “This gives purchasers more choice and minimises stocking days and maximises sale values for the leasing company.”
