Subaru Legacy Overview
The car really has more to offer than the majority of buyers will ever know. It's probably one of the most underrated cars in the marketplace and worthy of comparison with premium estates from the likes of Audi, Volvo and Honda.
Background
The first generation model was introduced in 1989 and was a vehicle which represented many firsts for Subaru. It was the first Subaru to receive the Subaru EJ flat-4 engine series.
The second generation model of the Legacy arrived in 1994 and ran until 1998 when it was replaced by the third generation model. 2001 saw the introduction of the EZ30 option, which was a 3.0 litre engine which boasted improved emissions.
The fourth generation Legacy was put into production in 2003 and featured a re-designed chassis and marked the return of the turbo charged engine to the Legacy. In 2009, 20 years after the car was originally produced, the fifth generation Legacy was born and offers the UK customer with the choice between an EE20 turbodiesel or a EJ25.
Summary
The Subaru Legacy is a spacious and well equipped model not too dissimilar to the Outback model. It is a versatile car which is pretty good looking for an estate vehicle.
