Peugeot 107 Car Reviews

The Peugeot 107 is a city car that has been in production since 2005. It is available as a 3-door or 5-door hatchback, both of which are 4-seater models. Equipped with a 1 litre engine and a 5-speed manual transmission, the 107 isn’t the quickest car on the road, just managing to hit 100mph. However, it offers excellent fuel economy, and low emissions qualify the car for free road tax.

Peugeot 107 Overview

The car delivers a smooth and refined ride around town, although wind and road noise does start to get louder as the car’s speed increases. Handling of the 107 is sharp and the steering is reasonably light and responsive. The ride quality is decent on the whole but can be a little firm over bumps and road imperfections.

The cabin of the Peugeot 107 offers space and practicality. The driving position is reasonably adjustable and visibility is good. Head and legroom is surprisingly plentiful in a car this small, although the boot provides very little room.

The standard level of equipment provided is not brilliant, but entry level models come with a CD player and an MP3 input socket. Upgradable options include air conditioning and electric windows. The 107 offers excellent value for money.

Background

The Peugeot 107 was first produced in 2005.

It is available in several trims. The Verve trim model comes with air conditioning and alloy wheels as standard.

A Kiss edition 107 was released in partnership with the radio station Kiss FM.

The car received a facelift in 2009, and sports a revised exterior with changes to the bumper and wheel trims. Also available are a wider range of interior fabrics for the car.

The Peugeot 107 offers reliability and boasts low break-down rates.

Summary

The Peugeot 107 offers excellent all-round value for money with low emissions and superb fuel economy. It provides a spacious interior and is an ideal city car, working well around town. At motorway speeds, however, refinement is compromised.
