Nissan GT-R Car Reviews

The Nissan GT-R is a supercar that has been in production since 2007. The GT-R is amazingly fast and handles exceptionally well. It even provides good value for money for a supercar. The car can reach an incredible top speed of 196mph and, perhaps more impressively, can accelerate from 0 – 60mph in 3 seconds flat.

Nissan GT-R Overview

The Nissan GT-R may be built for speed but this does not mean it is suitable only for the race track. The interior is very pleasant featuring leather seats, soft-touch plastics and enough room for four at a push – although the back seats offer limited space.

The GT-R manages to combine comfort with the top-notch performance and it is refined enough to make it an excellent option for longer journeys.

The car is equipped with a 6-speed automatic dual clutch transmission and comes as standard with vast amounts of technology.

Background

The Nissan GT-R has been in production since 2007, when it was released in Japan. It was not made available to the rest of the world until 2009.

The initial model had a top speed of 193mph. When the car received a facelift for the 2011 model year this top speed rose to 196mph and acceleration increased.

The revised GT-R also features an enhanced exhaust system and many changes to the exterior. The car will again be updated for the 2012 model year, after an announcement from the company in November 2011.

The GT-R SpecV was released in 2009 in Japan, and sports more carbon fibre body parts which reduces the total weight and allows for faster speeds.

Moreover, the Nissan GT-R has featured in many areas of motorsport throughout the world, and was used as the official safety car for the 2008 Japanese Super GT and the 2009 Australian V8 Supercars series.

Summary

The Nissan GT-R is a supercar that delivers impressive performance and incredible speed, all whilst representing good value for money.
