Fiat Bravo Overview

The Dualdrive electric power steering allows the driver – via a switch on the dashboard – to change the normal setting to one that dramatically lightens the steering, making it easier when it comes to parking in tight spots or just generally manoeuvring in awkward situations. This, along with excellent road grip and good handling, makes for an enjoyable driving experience.

The interior of the Bravo is comfortable and spacious, featuring a combination of stylish textures and an attractive trim. The car comes as standard with electric windows and a CD player, with the option to upgrade and secure extra features such as air conditioning, Bluetooth, cruise control and alloy wheels. Moreover, boot space is very generous with room for a sizeable amount of luggage.

The Fiat Bravo makes for a brilliant family car and represents good value for money. Fuel consumption rates are very favourable.

Background

The Fiat Bravo was first produced in 1995.

The car was available as a 3-door or 5-door hatchback. There was a choice of petrol or diesel engines, some of which enabled the car to reach speeds of over 130mph. The model was discontinued in 2001.

The Fiat Bravo was unveiled for a second time at the 2007 Geneva Motor Show.

The car is now only available as a 5-door hatchback. There is a wide range of engines, petrol and diesel, some of which have very good fuel consumption rates.

The Dynamic and Sport packages feature the Blue&Me technology which enables hands free mobile phone use. There is also a USB connector so that MP3 players can be plugged in and their songs can be browsed through the car’s entertainment system.

The Fiat Bravo gained a five star rating in the “Adult occupant” category of the Euro NCAP safety tests.

Summary

The Fiat Bravo is stylish and comfortable, with a spacious interior that makes for a great family vehicle. Furthermore, it represents good value for money with favourable fuel economy.
